In April, 2008, Saranaloka Foundation was granted tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Saranaloka has three Officers, all of whom have not only a deep commitment to Dhamma practice, but also possess the professional skills and experience required to successfully govern the Foundation.
The Officers meet regularly together with the nuns at Aloka Vihara to discuss pertinent issues and vote on resolutions as needed.
Minutes from every board meeting are available for public viewing and anyone interested in doing so should contact Saranaloka. All minutes and other documents can be viewed at the vihara in San Francisco. Listed below are the Foundation's most recent tax documents.
